Life-Story that Inspires Me

The individual lives are essentially filled with moments of optimism even though everyone moves ahead facing lots of hard times and personal difficult problems. In human society despite everyone being equal by birth later it turns out as unequal in the stratification and hierarchical classification. It is a story of a boy who found optimism in the midst of his apathy and injustice. Indian society is essentially united territorially as one unit and famously known for its ‘unity in diversity’, however it is broken into fragments along the lines of caste, class, race and gender. Such, stratification is essentially encoded severely from ancient times and practiced profoundly in social relations. The boy who was born as a lower caste, was treated unjustly with the practice of untouchability and was not accepted to be part of education. According to Manusmriti lower caste is not supposed to acquire knowledge as it was only a prerogative of the upper class Brahmins. He was denied to sit equally along with upper caste students and forced to sit in separately also he was not allowed to fetch water to drink in class, as the purity-pollution matrix was quite deeply encoded in social relations.

Despite such ill-treatment, he pursued his education and acquired his graduation. Later, with the assistance of humble beings, he got scholarship to study abroad in Columbia University along with several intellectual luminaries. And, his first paper was on “Castes in India: Their Mechanism, Genesis and Development”. He is none other than Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar who was the first ‘mahar’ to acquire higher education despite severe hierarchical stratification in society, also a ‘dalit’ who represented the status of lower caste people in Second Round Table Conference and architect of constitution of India. Life of Ambedkar gives the perfect example of optimism for our future.

As we are mostly turned down in the midst of difficulties we face regularly. He did not fight just for his own rights rather for entire unjust stratification and classification of society in several lines. He fought against injustice and inequality which is constructed in human society. As for him it is through liberty, equality and fraternity human individuals can progress not along the strict pursuance of hierarchical division. This story reflects that optimism for our future that despite in the wake of innumerable adversities, we could find the hope and optimism to move ahead and even beyond. Mostly we give up in the moments of adversity, however, it is those difficult moments which need to be traversed to touch the pinnacle. Success doesn’t arrive spontaneously, it need not to be tailored through arduous hard work. Though, everyone is born equally society is classified along several lines, it can be overcome with through every individual passionate labor. We can derive optimism for our future from this story, as everyone can attain dreams, with their continuous pursuance of their passionate dream in their respective discipline. It is sheer following up their dreams, despite several odds. Optimism does not come from outside rather we need to discover it in midst of every individual difficulties and problems.

Gaynodaya Trip: Rajasthan

We are essentially social beings, although there are contestations by scholars that human beings are political beings. It was indeed life’s one time moment when we got together along with people and we occurred to embark on an unplanned journey. It was in my graduation days in the Delhi College of Arts and Commerce when I got the opportunity along with my fellow NCC friends to be a part of an organized trip by the University of Delhi named ‘Gyanodaya’. The basic intention was to explore the myriad cultures and to understand the vastly diverse nature of India, in this trip the location spotted for us was the north-eastern part of state Rajasthan. The university was essentially funding for this trip, hence most of the NCC cadets were to be a part of it. The journey began from Delhi Cantonment station where everybody arrived. It turned out as a carnival when more than 1,500 students were going for a similar journey. As there were spectacular arrangements along with a structure of disciplined arrangements, since it was essentially organized by the military personnel and NCC cadets. Along with us two teaching professors were accompanying 25 cadets form our college. It was quite visible to see our train with unique arrangements and most essentially it was named as the ‘Gyanodaya Express’. The moment we were walking towards our train to get into our respective seats, we were glad to see a distribution of sweets and juice packets. Some of the cadets were playing songs while few were busy in collecting as much sweets as they could, and some got so busy in dancing that they ended up dropping their bags on platform!

The train finally departed as every college student acquired their respective seats. It was a great moment going together along with my friends. In the entire train speakers were installed to communicate with large number of students, however it was used to wish each other birthdays which mostly were bogus efforts to turn up their voice. We finally reached our destination, Ajmer, early next morning as we all moved towards our respective buses and here we were basically supposed to reach Army Unit that was supposed to display their weaponry and armaments. Most of the students were amazed with those gigantic armed machinery, however they were not much scared as everyone climbed over those armed vehicles and took their pictures, and this was followed by visit to the Ajmer fort.

Everything was going smoothly while travelling in the desert state Rajasthan until things took a wrong way in Jaisalmer when few students got sick and ill due to food poising. In our group along with myself, several others got diarrhea and felt uncomfortable with the journey. As one of the members got admitted along with other students and we got to know through local news reports in television. One of our friends gave a major statement regarding food arrangements and trip officials reprimanded him for this. It was a tough moment to continue the journey as everyone was feeling unwell in the mid of this journey. However, we students together stayed and said to continue as it is life’s one time moment. Later, the university officials sent doctors team from WUS, who distributed medicines while in moving buses and asked health conditions of every individual in this journey. Despite deteriorating health conditions we continued our trip and visited the Indo-Pak border post as well. As it was a collective decision and togetherness which made our trip to be a learning experience that by being together we could accomplish anything and turn worst conditions into favorable moments of our lives. With this we had successfully accomplished our journey and arrived safely back to Delhi.

A Big Life Changing Incident

Quantifying space Vs Creative space

Existence of humans is quantified in terms of ‘Life’. However, such quantification is only adequate to understand till it helps us understand the nuances of trajectory of individual lives. This is because human beings dwell around the space of perfection and quantified caliber.  Since similar perfection and caliber were not present, hence, I have opted to quit such quantifying spaces in our academic schooling.  Continuously for many years I have felt guilty for committing utmost blunders in my life. Along with others, I should also have been able to fight the battle in quantifying society. Rather, I chose to work in a cycle shop after running away from the horrors of quantifying space. It was an enchanting experience as every day and every moment I lived learning new things by repairing cycles. I realized how lives of poor revolve around the revolving wheels of cycle or rickshaw. However, there was a deep feeling of guilt tramping my soul. It was an awkward day when I took absolute decision to study again or to take a firm step to enter again into the quantifying space. So, I completed my schooling and also further attained my graduation in my major in political science.

Although humans are born only once in their lives, however they take a new birth the moment they take a life changing decision.  My decision to step again might have been to enter the quantifying space which I had earlier discontinued due to the failure of continuing with their quantifying credentials. In this moment entering again into such a space is not by burying my own individual creative space. Parasitic presence of quantifying academic institutions seems to be constantly working to diminish individual creative space. Still, there are those humble souls (parents and teachers) who constantly assist to move beyond such hindrances despite backlashes and failures. It was one of the life changing moments to experience the nuances of ‘life’ that we have to move ahead despite lashes and thorns by society as individuals fail to mould themselves into such prototype statues of quantifying institutions. However, mistake is a great teacher, as my firm decision to return back led me not to mould myself to their credentials rather to mould my own creative space.

Every individual is born with their own creative mind which needs to be moulded in an arena of creative space rather than in a quantifying space, battling to become a monolithic uniform human individual. The creative mind can grow in an arena of liberty and freedom of expression. To guide them to find ‘what they are?’ rather ‘what they should be?’... In nature, plant primarily grows when it is nourished with proper care along with adequate amount of water. We could see that every plant grows in myriad shapes and varied ways, they do not appear uniformly. In similar vein human individuals also need such care and nourishment who could grow with their own capabilities and uniqueness. However, major bottleneck is the structure of our quantifying society, which curbs and disciplines an individual’s creative potentiality. Therefore, the major decision in my life I took was to drop the spanner and whipping out grease on my hand, and started studying with passion by developing creative space.

Menstruability

Menstruability

Haunting and profound with twist in abdomen,
Sudden turn of events as red stain is blooming,

Pace of Body, gauged by society,
Space of body laid in ritual reality,

Dailiness of action whipped under taboos,
Do's & Dont's settled with mythical whips,

Assorting into tiny sconce in lunar days,
Laying formulas to touch or untouch is disdain ways,

Mythico-religious notions sunken the periods,
Will those cardinals solve weekly cramps?

Probably everybody scorn redness of red blood,
Dehumanize souls since everyone born in that same red blood,

Matrix of mythical morals entangled the body,
Disdain the space which lays in this reality,

Despite blemishes in my body, tangles horror with shame,
Will still dishevel those norms and transcend in this space

Honor & shame in following these beliefs of immorality,
Shedding off this myths with feather of menstruability.

Untouch those taboos dwells in society,
Begin new life touched with humanity.

(Will dedicate this poem to all women around the world, dwelling in mythico-religious society)

"Tragedy of born and unborn"

Whips and miseries drowning us every day,
Climbing tomb of developments faraway,
Poor sunken deeper into poverty,
Rich sailing in wealth healthily,
Skinned bones of undernourished is reality,

What is our development trajectory?
Poverty & Hunger are facets of development reality,
Deprivation or dispossession starving in their apathy,
Quandary of economic growth remains all the way,
Here destitution of needs is their fate every day,
Being cropped but constantly chopped every day,
Dwelling in such hell better to go away,
Fate of unborn is unborn till today,
Those who born are ill today,
Starving for death and corn every day,
Its tragedy of taking birth in this world today

Divinity with Humility

Human endeavors to constantly grow,
Encroaching with bulls & arrows,
Its temporal transcendence devoid of humility,

We can’t vow with forceful tow,
It is not something compelled to grow,
Instead it ascents in habitual row,

Not with modes and ways,
Not with rules and principles,
Unconsciously subsisting in low,

Is it covert or overt existence?
It is existence by being inconspicuous,
By being nothing but everything.

Blazing soul in benighted milieu,
Invisibly strives for humanity,
Strenuously and imperceptibly,

Passivity is not inertia to scorn,

Such inertia is demeanor of tolerance,
Aftermath of cession is humility

Heroism in life is within self,
A spark of divinity is humility,
Lightening humanity from below,

Endless Hopes in Myriad Ways

The people are united with hopes all the way,
All are together to create future possibilities everyday,
It shares equal feeling to suit everyone’s way.
Thou people come from myriad places from faraway,
But they share similar feelings towards
   everyone in a humanly way,
Everyone is equal as being part of it everyday,
It holds discussions and deliberations
   constantly on workdays,
Everyone comes beneath hut-circle
to resolve problems in the simplest way,
With unbridled assistance present around the way,
Its environ is wrapped in greenery,
As it uses everything in natural way,
In short it is modernity with traditionality,
Hence it creates endless hopes in simplest way.

Way towards Divinity

It will spellbind you after having a mind-boggling journey which should rather be called a way towards divinity. One of the biggest and richest temples in the world, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam is situated in the southern part of India. This temple is erected over a mountain where Lord Venkateshwara is said to be dwelling. The city Tirupati is situated between two states of southern India, sharing its stretch at one side with Tamil Nadu and another with Andhra Pradesh. But it welcomes people from all over the world. In the midst of the early dawn we have reached the Tirupati railway station. It was a pristine environment where we could feel a calm weather and pure air to breathe, which were accompanied by mesmerizing beautiful Tirumala Mountains. In between all beautiful environ, such a massive temple stood majestically at one peak. It takes more than less than an hour by walk to reach the peak, compared to other transportation it takes approximately one hour. But to reach this holy, divine place by walk is more blissful as it makes one feel wholeheartedly contented. After reaching the top of the world's richest temple it feels entirely like a whole city is existing over there on the top.

We went through a line of 'special darshan' which had a huge rush and was roaring. And finally reached after crossing several security checks and holding backs. It was only for few seconds that we saw the idol from a long distance as everybody was pushing one another and fighting their way ahead. The moment we crossed the idol from a distance, I simply felt nothing. It would seem like a comment from an atheist. I couldn’t feel there is something in front of my eyes which led me to reach the top of the peak. And thought the whole way what had forced me to come all the way till here crossing several miles.

I believe it is a way to divinity within ourselves which forces us to find ourselves. The divinity flows within every soul which holds everyone together and revolves around the entire world. It is our inner consciousness and moral conscience which is the way towards divinity. We can’t move without our own will. Such highest will to do something is true divinity inside us. I could see each and every class and caste of people reached there without any restrictions. We found a divine way to bind everyone in one huge gigantic place and constructed such a mammoth structure. This place has turned lives of so many people. As it is giving lives to several people. It has an elaborate networked security system which is efficient to prevent any gruesome stampedes where innumerable people hoard to get one glimpse or darshan.

Such a path of divinity is immensely botched up by the dissemination of Brahmanical dogmas along with preaching of its self-purificatory practices by inculcating in minds of people. It also professes giving up our hair to Lord Balaji since it is said to have a mythological significance towards it. The legend goes that once Lord Balaji was hit on his head by a shepherd and a small portion of his scalp became bald. It was noticed by Gandharva princess Neela Devi#  who felt that "such an attractive face should not have a flaw". She instantly gives a portion of her hair and with her magical power she implanted it on his scalp. Lord Balaji noticed her sacrifice. As hair is a beautiful aspect of the female, he promised her that all his devotees who come to his abode should render their hair to him, and she would be the recipient of all the hair received. Hence, it is believed that hair offered by the devotees is accepted by Neela Devi. Here one of the Tirumala mountains is named after her as Neeladri mountain.

It was a past mythological story. But now it needs to be understood in a political economy perspective as hair donation+  has become a trade, which is traded to China, Africa, Europe and America. Don’t know Lord Balaji have granted us to sell our hair to international markets? Temples in south India always revolved around the context of political economy. It was right from the ancient and medieval ages when it was a source of several things as it provided education, employment etc. If we look at the brighter side of such donations it is immeasurable. As everyday it collects several millions which are invested over educational, hospital, employment, temple infrastructure, free transportation & accommodation for devotees and many more. If such donation helps to raise hospitals and universities then it is better than paying tax to government.

With the end of darshan we are offered very delicious and savoring Tirupati Ladoos. Rumour has it that this secret recipe cannot be availed anywhere outside the temple. And after that people can move towards free Bhojanalaya for every one regardless of caste and class.

“It is our inner consciousness and moral conscience that was the way towards divinity.”

Capital with a Capital “C”

Life is entangled with myriad forms of intricacies. Here in this position the contemporary globe is revolving conterminously around the economy. It would be a blunder and a sheer mismatch to say that the earth revolving rapidly or capital is around the globe. Obviously, without any mistake we can declare that the most visible revolution per second in the capital is rapid. Why capital is more rapid than earth? It is the endless desire and madness towards the material needs which make it rapid. Then there is a dilemma, how come capital with a small “c” revolves so rapidly? Isn’t it the prerequisite element of Revolution Per Second (RPS) to have capital with a capital “C”.

Capital contains many variables; a sum of money, a set of produced means of production, or human capital. Generally the notion of capital is regarded as an asset or a wealth which has a material or monetary value. Every human is in a vortex of accumulation of maximum capital in their individual pockets. Since humans are methodological individualists who want to hoard humongous capital neglecting the size of their pocket. Even forgetting the repercussions of such hoarding continuously in their life by any means. On the verge of neo-liberal policies when globalization is the most notable phenomenon. As the capital can lead to a rise of a few individuals and a linear-horizontal progression of others. In this scenario, humans’ hoarding tendency is being exemplified in manifold ways which create a stark contrast in ways of living in the same geographical territory. It all occurs due to the capital with a capital “C”.

The societal draft is based on a structural setup. From the moment of human evolution, they have evolved a system to establish a just and equitable society. The desire of humans and power of capital which subtly pulls out the desired outcome even from bureaucracy or administrative system. These institutions have become invisible working cadres for capital with a capital “C”. Every iota of systemic elements is revolving around the vortex of capital. It is the capital “C” which presupposes a sense of a world where people live in. Capital with capital “C” is nothing but quality and quantity of currency within the individuals. It makes everyone revolve rapidly in this rapidly revolving globe. The most vital attribute of capital is its constant fluctuating tendency, which always wobbles as it never remains constant. In such hefty revolutions can that capital “C” crumble down? In this world, everything falls down as per Newton’s Law of Motion. In a similar vein, how apple had fallen over Newton’s head, the capital “C” will also come down and show the reality of the non-capital state of life.

Such progression is pernicious for the entire humanity as humans are stuck around the revolutions of capital and its insane fluctuations. It had negated the moral norms and communitarian ideologue. Morality has submerged under the pawns of methodological individualist. Normative values were surrendered at the cost of materialist needs. Here it is the time to wake up and reconceptualise the trajectory of our future. Equality and justice are the capital values of every society. The real currency of every society is equality of opportunity and welfare policies for each and every section of society. Life is not a capital with capital “C” where inhuman fluctuations guide the humans’ prosperity instead it should be capital for individual prosperity and well-being not for poverty and ill-being.

Voyage On A Heap Of Scrap

We as humans have mastered our mother nature. In subtle words we have tamed it with breakthrough inventions. We need to ponder what we have invented through such breakthroughs. Is it favorable for mighty humans and humble Mother Nature? With my recent voyage on mother land, I had explored outcome of such breakthrough inventions. It starts from our capital Delhi Hazrat Nizamudin railway station till Bangalore City Junction having 2700kms long journey. It had been topsy-turvy situation for everyone with sudden rain in midnight which forced platform seekers to evacuate below the just half erected sheets. After rainy night we imagined it would be pleasant in early morning but plagued platform and littered tracks gave dismal state of nature. It just appeared that human natural and artificial wastes are ravaging their own existence but still they carry on doing same again and again.

Mahatma Gandhi approximately century ago said that “railways, have spread the bubonic plague” it appeared evidential when voyage started and peeped outside the train window. The humans had dropped their used things all over the way in every crossing path. It looked indecent and untidy as crossing even desert barren zone, where we threw away polythene bags and tea cups.

Passing mountains and changing color of terrain,
Over-changing winds and trees,

Volatility in the accent of words and language.
Existence of multiplicity and vividness,

It had apparently shown my country’s humongous diversity. Still, it holds darker side of such diversity. The uneven and unequal development in different terrain is the also the chaining contours of our Indian terrain. Here one-sided economic development along with under-development of several regions with poverty, hunger, malnutrition, corruption, illiteracy had been common denominators which were quite visible. It purely appears that due to the capitalist encirclement it had led to creation of two countries - “Rich Country” and “Poor Country”.

With this mighty journey I had explored that breakthrough inventions along with assisting the humans, it had ravaged their own existence. We as human beings are known as ‘Rational Beings’, it would be mere hope they would get enlightened. Maybe end of this epoch period would teach them the subservience towards ‘Mother Nature’. Since nature had been for everyone that’s why I had become for no one. Our breakthrough inventions should assist humans to emancipate not to eradicate their own existence through ravaging nature or through lopsided development.

My Summer time...

Oh summer why are you so hummer,

Don’t rumble, I would crumple,
You are a crook, slaying us viciously

Oh summer you're so hotter,
You ploy our body water & desiccate us.

Oh my dear sun, how tactically you absorb from us!!
And how selfish you are humidifying us and rendering yourself,

Oh my dear sun, why are you taking revenge?
We are innocence child, we care for you, we love you.
But you are harming us… why such voracity ?

My Dear sun emission has been done by our sires,
We love you more than them,
But sorry we are unable to show our love to you.

My Dear sun, we have adopted sustainable development!!..
I would opine it's called SUSTAIN-ABLED DEVELOPMENT!!!!
We meant do whatsoever to sustain and develop..

Oh my dear sun, don’t knew what will happen?
You are taking revenge of our sires,
We are taking revenge of our sires,
In future our genex will take revenge of their sires..

The whole reciprocity is nothing but?
To revenge & avenge our own sires.

Oh my dear Sun you are the real son of our Mother Nature…
But I think you are better son in equivalence,
We did nothing leaving exploiting our mother,
U showed indicators but we kept unheeded.

Oh my dear Mother u gave us brothers & sisters,
But we never loved our cognates,
We only basked & savored never sought to conserve.

A simple “SORRY” would be tactical term to remorse,
And again our avengers would run cycle of revenge,
So the dilapidation is officially contrived,
So Ma Dear Sun ..You carry on your job..:)

Tactile: The Way to Hell

It’s an artificial elevated sidewalk,
Distinctly colored & structured in a cranny way,
Tactiles discovered to assist & guide,
Take them away from solitary position to self-navigation,

Its an adroit dim technique to deceit,

Not barriers but erected tactiles.
Since, all tiles are the way to hell,
To reach safely, need to bypass them safely.

The terrain tract erected not to assist them,
But to misguide them & befool them.
It’s better to mould tactically & not getting befooled,
By tapping & knocking them blindly.

Unsung Masses in Modern India Human Rights for Disabled Persons

“We don't need sympathy but need an opportunity”

By virtue of being human beings, we are born with inherent dignity. But such dignity is not virtuously present with everyone. In India large chunk of disabled masses are living undignified, unequal and unjust lives. Even don’t acquire valuable participation in society on an equal basis with others as being characterized as pathological entities. The real problem is not the blindness or disability but institutional agencies working are blind. Every person is with their own different capacities or strengths which need to be attuned. Since everyone are neither especially blessed nor especially cursed.

In the ambit of Human Rights for Disabled People, disability is a conviction that are most restricting and debilitating features in the lives of disabled people, which were not a necessary or inevitable consequence of living with impairment. The restrictions were socially and politically constructed and could therefore be changed by social and political means with sociolegal factors. It was two decades ago Government of India passed Persons with Disabilites (PwD) Act 1995, with the passage of time in spite of empowering provisions it remained darker side of same coin which remained woefully inadequate. Despite all these it failed to reach the disabled masses truly. Since there is no proper barrier-free transport facility, road or building environment even the assistive tactile around the pathways are purely way to hell. In 2007 UNCRPD (UN Convention on the Rights of Persons
with Disabilities) finalized to protect and promote rights and dignity of persons with disability of persons, it reminded the remarkable shift needed in the attitudes and approaches to persons with disabilities.

In modern era Human rights needed to be realized through advancements in technology and innovation as well as through progressive minds. Here 21st CE marks new era of sophisticated digital high-tech technology, need consonance with this changing environs. Here the future of modern India can be visualized blindly when we break the shackles and barriers of knowledge and disabilities.

Jovial Sun

Sunlight gleans every morn,
My Morny grin hails from daily dawn,
Naturally bracing stagnant stones..

Your beam gleams ma entirety
Induction of newfangled shafts to craft entire day..
That’s ma beautiful & adorable sun..
Oh sun don’t insulate under your shaft,
Your insulation would choke us,
Just snap us beneath your sunshine,

Why its constantly difficult to empathize you
You always been a puzzle!
Unable to solve & resolve you.

Quite faraway from ma thoughts,
Constantly propelling your beams!!
Entombing mercenary of your beams..
Ohh Sun u generously being ample,
You traits where akin as pedagogy,
Truly missing callous mannerism...

You fealty diffusing shades with your tiny tinge,
Making everyone to rewire & revive,
Purely eliminating the murky secession..

(The sun which burns... which churns... which runis... which revivs.. which cures... which vitalizes.. dedicating to that beautiful ablazing Sun..)

Didactics of our Pedegog ..

We have entered with our naiveness,
But I believe  we would leave with maturity,
We came as creatures, and  matured with your state of nature.

We were unripened souls, but you molded us as gentle souls.
We were taught Indian philosophy to Western Philosophy..!!
But constantly maneuvered with  true ideal morals.

We were punctured tubes after boring long lectures,
But we became ignited souls with your witty and poetic gestures
We wished to catch your words, but always failed to reach your words,
Wandering around our missed & dropped words.
But we strained to match your stormy pace..

Your words are like of Moses' 10 Commandments.
Which we truly followed.
Your instructions are akin to our almighty last verdict,
Which we can’t alter or interpolate.

Sometimes we feel we are hearing spell form our almighty,
But stricken with your astounding words..
You play with words like a little kid,
But in the end your are the winning kid with surprising words.

I have never savored any Bengali Sandesh…!!
But I would challenge it wouldn’t be as savory as your gags

Its your session where in our entire day, we truly laugh with happiness
Then the entire day is normal as usual.
We heed your teachings cursorily as dictated Owls,
But sudden gags make it more like awakened owls.

Nothing just wanna say you are a true pedagog,
From whom I have greatly got inspired.
Thanks is an acknowledgment of appreciation..
But I don’t know how to appreciate your instructions,
You enter as a prophet  and then we attain divine instruction with your magical spell..

To my beloved Prof Roy sir.
